The Giant Rain Tree, Kanchanaburi - Another Landmark of Kanchanaburi
The Giant Rain Tree in Kanchanaburi - A Must-Visit 100-Year-Old Tree
Kanchanaburi province is home to numerous attractions, from natural wonders to sites of Thai and international historical importance. In this article, I want to focus on another key landmark for visiting and taking photos: the "Giant Chamchuri Tree" (often called the Giant Rain Tree).

History and Information about the Giant Rain Tree in Kanchanaburi.
This tree is located within the area of the Animal Husbandry and Agriculture Division 1 of the Army Veterinary Department, which is open for tourists to visit. The tree is over 100 years old. The circumference of its trunk takes about 10 people to encircle, and the radius of its canopy is approximately 25.87 meters. The height of this giant tree, from the ground to its peak, is about 20 meters. There is no admission fee for visiting. It is open for both Thai and foreign tourists to take commemorative photos of their visit to Kanchanaburi. A nearby attraction is "Wat Tham Mangkon Thong" (Golden Dragon Cave Temple), which you will find just before reaching this giant tree.

These are photos around the Giant Tree.

It's very difficult to find a tree of this size nowadays.
